Okay, now say you have a wedding, or a dance, or a date, or prom and you need to lose weight in two weeks?
Can it be done?
The safest plan is to lose weight gradually
after a check-up with your physician. Then
choose a diet or eating plan that is healthy
and safe. A popular diet online is called
Fat Loss 4 Idiots and I have done a review on it
as follows:
Here’s the review of the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet Plan:
The Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet plan offers this motto – one day at a time, one pound at a time = a new body in the mirror. (good start)
Fat Loss 4 Idiots offers two different plans – one generates a menu (computer generated in an instant) for fast weight loss both plans use a different carb/protein plan.
One is called “The diet generator” and offers a plan that generates menus with your favorite 30 foods – this is quick and easy but be careful what you choose or you may have a wild assortment of foods to choose from.
This “diet generator” (it is neat the way it works) offers you a list of foods
and then you choose your favorites and it builds
a plan for 11 days, and tells you exactly what combinations to eat and how often – too cool.
The other plan is a more casual guide to 10 rules of eating and diet secrets handbook (45 pages long) which is an easy readable guide- both use a system to “trick” your body with a certain combination of carbs and proteins.
Pros of the overall Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet Plan:
Gives you a plan to follow for life and
provides many alternatives to those with allergies and has the same generated diet for vegetarians (nice).
It is very specific on what to eat and in what quantities and how fresh the fruit, etc. but stills allows for a lot of freedom
It tells you how to eat out, but tells you that it is better to eat at home for the quick way to lose weight in two weeks by eating “plain.”
*Note – I like to eat out, but a lot of the foods on this plan can be bought at a restaurant-type setting and modified.
Cons:
You have to be serious and stick to the 11 day diet. If you are, be careful not to lose too much weight too fast, seriously. It is about being healthy too, so use this diet carefully.
My favorite parts of Fat Loss 4 Idiots:
Rule #6 on p. 11 is my favorite tip – knowing when to stop -
I had never heard this before and I believe it is a top secret to losing weight fast and for keeping it off for the rest of your life. It is simple, but works great.
Rule #8 on page 13 I would add to the tips on water and how much to drink each day this tip – that drinking really cold water forces your body to use calories to heat up the water and helps with fat loss too!
">
Okay, Rule #9 on page 14 is JUST NOW my new favorite secret tip because it is easy, makes sense and explains how someone's body can begin to be a calorie, fat-burning machine! A-ha, so that is how people can lose 9 pounds in 11 days, now I am beginning to see. And it has nothing to do with the treadmill!
Page 16 explains that each one of these tips alone might sound "crazy" but when put together - dynamite weight loss.
Page 17 talks about common myths about sit-ups and abs. I loved this, because as personal trainer we were taught these rules about abdominals, but most of us don't know these simple little facts that explain why we can do 500 sit-ups a day and still look the same in the middle! And WHAT to do about stomach fat to get that six pack of abs!!!
Page 28 explains the secret of the biggest reason people gain weight!
Page 30 tells you how to stop retaining water.
Page 31 tells you the top 10 foods to avoid.
Page 33 is very helpful to those of us who have "bad genetics" meaning everyone in our family is overweight and we have been overweight since childhood. This explains why and how to change this in your body - even if you have failed at every other diet that you have tried - very encouraging!
Page 38 how to eat a salad when you are out that is truly a "diet" salad and what NOT to put on your salad that makes it just as fattening as other choices on the menu.
Page 30 - the myth of wheat bread and wheat pancakes!
There are also rules about what to avoid when grocery shopping, how to order food at restaurants, how to order at fast food establishments and late night eating, etc.
All-in-all it is a great book to learn the basics of how to eat, for quick weight-loss and what to do to maintain it for the rest of your life. It is simply easy to understand, but has a lot of information packed into its pages, so I would suggest rereading each part of it as you have time. After a couple of times of rereading it, you will know EXACTLY what to do and it will be a great book to come back to each time when you forget what it said!
So - go to Fat Loss 4 Idiots, put in your favorite foods,
generator your plan, write down today's date, and
watch your progress! You can do this!

Are you a bit of a risk taker when you want to lose weight FAST?
If you are the 500 calorie diet may be just what you’re looking for.
The truth about this diet is it is considered an extreme form of
dieting; but is highly popular. Low calorie diets are common and
500 calories is at the lower end of the scale.
A diet is considered low calorie if it involves ingesting no more
than 1200 calories per day. The idea of a low calorie diet is to
lose weight quickly. If not administered correctly they can be
dangerous and as such it is important to plan your 500 calorie
diet with a professional dietician or nutritionist before starting.
This article will help you to decide if the 500 calorie diet is right
for you as a lose weight fast diet.
It is well known that the way to lose weight fast is to burn more
calories than you take in. However a very low calorie diet can
actually do more harm than good. When your body is craving
more calories (energy) it can affect your metabolic rate. This
means your body actually starts to eat away at your muscle mass.
It is doing this for the purpose of converting the muscle mass
to energy, since there are no food reserves to take from. Because
gaining muscle is the path to losing fat, this can have a highly
detrimental effect on your body.
500 calories per day may be sufficient for some people
depending on their:
- Gender
- Activity level
- Height
- Body type
- Overall health and well being
For other people though, particularly overweight people,
consuming only 500 calories a day is almost like starving
yourself. Your body is more than likely used to taking in
over 2000 calories per day and up to 5000 or more.
If you all suddenly drop to 500 calories or less your body moves
into starvation mode. Your metabolism then slows down to
conserve energy.
While you are on the 500 calorie diet your body will learn to
live with fewer calories. That means if you go back to your
old high calorie habits (as all too many people do) you will
have a sudden gain in weight, which is more than what
would have occurred, had you not gone on your low cal diet.
The only real way to determine your ideal daily calorie intake
is by using a bmr/amr calculator. You will then know how
many calories you need to be healthy and to support your
lifestyle. If you take 500 calories away from this, then you
have the ideal number of calories, to take in per day to help
you get your weight down.
As men and women are obviously different their ideal calorie
intake is also different. This of course means while the average
woman may need only 1200 to 1300 calories a day to survive,
her male counterpart may need from 1500 to 1600. Again this
is why it is so important for you to consult with your physician
before starting any diet.
In conclusion a 500 calorie diet can be dangerous. However, if
proper precautions are taken, such as a physical, to determine
your overall health fitness, you can lose weight safely.
And then girls and guys ----
it is a grand feeling---
and it is worth it all!

When you looked in the mirror this morning did you groan
with the protruding love handles? Were you blown away by
the thunder thighs and balloon butt looking like it was out
of air? Did the commode seat creak and shift around when
you set down? If you answered yes to any of the above,
perhaps you should read on about the weight loss zone diet.
Does the weight loss zone diet really work, or is it just another
fad diet? Can you actually have fast weight lost with this diet?
Without doubt, the zone diet is one of the most
famous diets in the world, largely due to the celebrities
who have vocally taken part in this diet. Cindy Crawford,
Jennifer Aniston, Renee Zellweger, Charlie Sheen and
Tiger Woods are just a few celebrities who have reportedly
tried the zone diet.
What is noteworthy is that none of these celebrities were
actually overweight! That proves that the zone diet is not
solely about weight loss, but also about a healthy lifestyle.
So how does the zone diet work exactly? The main principle
of the zone diet is that it states an intake of 40%/30%/30%
ratios of carbohydrates, protein and fat. This translates into a
low carbohydrate diet.
These type of diets, have become somewhat
dangerously fashionable in some circles. The weight loss zone
diet however is not as restrictive or strict as many other more
hardcore low carb (or carb free) diets. The Atkins diet is one
example of a diet that is more restrictive than the zone diet
For all its success stories, the American Heart Foundation still
does not approve of the zone diet. This is due to its high protein
content and lack of essential nutrients which are vital to the
human body. They are also concerned about the lack of
information and research about long term effects of
undertaking the zone diet for long periods of time or
permanently.
Many nutritional experts are also skeptical of the zone
diet due to lack of scientific research or fact backing up
the claims.
Although the zone diet is a high protein diet, the developer
of the diet later released a Soy Zone diet. This made the diet
plan more suited to vegetarians, who were put off the regular
zone diet by its high meat content. The Soy Protein diet simply
uses a soy protein base for its meals rather than meat.
It is a common statistic that people who undertake fad diets
gain their weight back again a short time later. Why is this so?
Well the reason behind this fact is diets like the zone diet are
simply unsustainable over long periods of time.
Your body can not live without the carbohydrates that are
being taken away from it during the zone diet. Your body
will continue to crave carbs until you finally give in. And
when you give in, because your body is not used to all
these high calorie carbohydrates, they cause you to put
on more weight than before you began the diet!
The weight loss zone diet appears to work well for
certain people. It’s just a matter of striking a balance
between following the diet to a T or deviating from it a
little to include some more of the essential nutrients
to keep your body healthy.
As with all diets you should contact your personal
physician to determine if the diet could be
detrimental to your health.
I bought the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet and it is a good
weight loss diet to help you lose and then to maintain
your ideal weight
for the rest of your
life! Pretty good, ya think?
