<p><span style="font-size: small;">Rule #6 on p. 11 is my favorite tip &#8211; knowing when to stop -<br />
I had never heard this before and I believe it is a top secret to losing weight fast and for keeping it off for the rest of your life.  It is simple, but works great.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Rule #8 on page 13 I would add to the tips on water and how much to drink each day this tip &#8211; that drinking really cold water forces your body to use calories to heat up the water and helps with fat loss too!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Okay, Rule #9  on page 14 is JUST NOW my new favorite secret tip because it is easy, makes sense and explains how someone&#8217;s body can begin to be a calorie, fat-burning machine!  A-ha, so that is how people can lose 9 pounds in 11 days, now I am beginning to see.  And it has nothing to do with the treadmill!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Page 16 explains that each one of these tips alone might sound &#8220;crazy&#8221; but when put together &#8211; dynamite weight loss.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">Nobody tells us when we are growing up how to live, what to eat and how to make sure that we turn 50 we have learned to exercise right.  Oh yeah, we hear it in Biology or a Health class in high school and maybe if we are lucky our parents have taught us by example.  But mostly, we grow up in the fast lane, the fast food lane.  It&#8217;s easy, it&#8217;s cheap and it is convenient.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">How do you change when you are in your 30s, 40s and 50s and you want to look good, but the roll around your middle says that you need to change and change fast?  You look around you and everyone pretty much is fighting the same battle, but it doesn&#8217;t make you feel any better when you try on four pair of pants and none of them fit.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I tell you the truth, that I personally think that a blizzard tastes wonderful.  I call it liquid fat in a cup.  It is yummy on the lips and ugly around the hips. I have decided that nothing tastes so good as skinny looks in a dress. </span><a href="http://Fat"><span style="font-size: small;">Fat in a dress anyway you look at it, just doesn&#8217;t feel as good as the freedom to move without rolls around your middle.</span></a></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I have been fat and I have been skinny.  I have been so pregnant with </span><a href="&lt;a href="><span style="font-size: small;">so</span></a><span style="font-size: small;"> much fat around my middle that when I was 30, I felt and looked like I was 90 years old.  When you are pregnant, your heart actually shifts into a new position to make room for your protruding belly.  And, to make matters worse, I had sciatic nerve pain when I was pregnant and I couldn&#8217;t sleep. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Oh&#8212;but I could eat and eat I did. I ate for two, no, I ate for too many!  I ate too many of this and too many of that.  And I somehow thought that if I ate healthy foods it was alright.  I just ate too much way too often, coupled with whatever I was craving at the time &#8211; mashed potatoes and gravy was one of my favorite things and the local fried chicken fast food with those homemade biscuits was to die for.  And almost die I did.  When I delivered our first child, my small petite frame of 5 foot and two inches was 40 pounds overweight and I almost died right after delivery.  My heart just couldn&#8217;t take the stress of the extra weight.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">And mentally I was a mess!  I described myself as a beached whale.  I had never looked like a pumpkin in my dresses, but I had a whole new concept of fat in a dress.  I loved my baby, and I loved being pregnant, but I hated what I had allowed happen to my body and I was secretly afraid that it was irreversible.  I had nightmares that I would always look this way and it would never get better.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Growing up I had had the opposite problem &#8211; I could never gain weight.  But once I did, I couldn&#8217;t stop!<br />
Two years later after telling myself that it was baby weight, I finally began realizing that after my second baby was two years old, the baby weight was Kristie weight.  The babies were out and eating on their own and I was no longer nursing (another excuse I used to eat too many calories instead of letting the nursing slim me up by eating just enough for me!). </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I loved the fact that nursing would use a lot of calories up in your body, so I did not hold back on my favorite creamy mint chocolate chip ice cream and oreos late at night after the babies were asleep. Oh my!  Those sweets tasted divine late at night as a &#8220;reward&#8221; to myself for taking care of two small toddlers while my husband worked long hours and I was home alone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">And to make matters worse, we had moved to Ohio (a truly great state!) where I was snowed in and there was NOTHING else to do but eat.  I had grown up in the South, so I couldn&#8217;t drive in the snow and ice and there was no one to babysit, so there I sat in Cleveland, Ohio (a wonderful city!)  looking out a big bay window at the snow and ice that seemed to last way beyond &#8220;fun&#8221; and wondering if I would ever feel good about myself again.  I was unhappy in my marriage, and felt like I was on another planet, away from my family, my home, and no one said &#8220;yall&#8221; to me on the public transit, much less looked my way.  Boy, I was having a HUGE pity party, but it was a table for one &#8211; me!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The friendliest I ever got on the public train going to work before I stopped to deliver my first child was when I told the businessman in the perfect suit next to me, that he &#8220;might want to move, because I was pregnant and I was about to throw up in my lunch bag&#8221; on the train. He didn&#8217;t say a word, just moved far away from me, making me feel even worse.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Oh, wonderful memories of being cold, pregnant, morning sick and so heavy for my tiny frame that I could hardly hobble through the train station and down the many downtown streets to my 15th floor cubicle at a small law firm where the people frowned knowing I would soon leave my burden of paper work for them to deal with.  Ugh!  Not happy thoughts.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">And that is my point.  My mind was controlling my thoughts to the point where I could not see past the misery I was feeling to the hope of the future that my baby would deliver.  I could have focused on how I could soon exercise at home and I could change the way I thought about it all.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Misery begins in the mind and works it way down into the soul and into the recesses of your heart.  You must first BELIEVE that you deserve to look good &#8211; not because your husband grabs your belly roll with disgust and makes you feel even worse, saying what is that???  No one deserves that kind of treatment.  We were created by a loving God to love and be loved.  The Golden Rule is to love your neighbor as yourself.  I somehow missed the whole meaning of that.  We are TO LOVE OURSELVES. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Now, most of us have no problem loving ourselves to the point of selfishness &#8211; that&#8217;s not the kind of love Jesus meant.  The kind of love that is kind and patient, understanding and compassionate.  Ahhh, you say, that is the kind of love that stands out in a crowd. That is the kind of love your Granny has for you that you rush in for a Granny hug because no one else on the planet loves you unconditionally like some of your relatives (that don&#8217;t live with you <img src='http://www.loseweight2wks.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> ).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">My point is in order to have the body that you need, desire and can have, you have to start with your feelings of inner worth.  Are you eating that extra helping because it makes you feel good?  Why would overindulgence make you feel good?  Is it because it is something that you can control when you can&#8217;t control your husband, your mother, your child who is failing in school or hanging out with the wrong kids or your miserable boss that everyone despises?  Is that why you are overeating?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Sit down and think about why you are unhappy.  Your weight is a byproduct of your unhappy thoughts about yourself.  You can change your body by changing your mind.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Do this.  Do this on your lunch break today.  Find a vendor on the street if you live in the city or go to the local book store and get a cup of non-fat latte and sit and look at girls in fitness magazines.  Okay, now buy the magazine and find the body shape that looks most like yours.  We do not all have small hips and small torsos.  Some of us are tall with large bones. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Okay, find a fitness model that looks most like your bone structure.  They are there, you just have to look for one.  Take the photo and put it where you spend the most time, be it in a drawer at work that you open 20 times a day to get out supplies and then take another one and put in on your refrigerator at home or on your bathroom mirror.  It DOES NOT matter what anyone else thinks!  The Bible says that as a man thinketh, so is he.  So as a woman thinketh about herself, so she looks like!  (My Southern interpretation is Girl, that&#8217;s what I am talkin&#8217; about!)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">This Works!!!! I have done and it has been practiced by thousands of women before you!  Why?  Without being scientific (science was not my best subject in school), I can tell you that physiologically you are putting off vibrations that will manifest what you want in life.  Remember the movie and the book &#8220;The Secret&#8221;?  The secret is that you are what you think and that came from a Greater Source eons before anyone wrote the secret.  The secret is that if you want it, you can have it.  The Greater Source of the Universe (God Almighty) gave you powers of your mind to use and told us to seek and you shall find it. So, when you are sleeping, the &#8220;orders&#8221; that you give your brain will subconsciously work it out with your conscious brain.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">In other words, &#8220;order&#8221; a new body.  Tell yourself that this is going to be the &#8220;new you.&#8221; Once you BELIEVE THE GOAL is possible, your powerful brain and will begins to find the road to get there.  Every one&#8217;s road is DIFFERENT!  Some use pills (not good unless it is natural like acai), some use watching weight, some use calorie-shifting (this works), some use low-fat diets, low carb diets (that&#8217;s what I did). It doesn&#8217;t matter what path you choose, just do it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Now, here&#8217;s the fun part!  Imagine.  You know somewhere in all the seriousness of our first job, getting married, getting responsible about everything in our live (car payment, light bills, etc.) we lost our practice of IMAGINING.  Find it again.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The joy of imagining yourself with six pack abs.  Okay, if that is too much.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Imagine yourself in two dress sizes smaller. Remember how you looked?  How about four dress sizes smaller?  OH!  The comments, the turned heads the &#8220;how did you do it?&#8221;  questions will keep you busy and you will smile all the way to the next smaller pants size.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Now, remember the hunger pains you might feel are normal.  Don&#8217;t starve yourself.  Find the right &#8220;plan&#8221; for you. Don&#8217;t call it a diet.  And if you feel hungry, drink cold water.  Your body will burn calories just trying to warm that bottle of water up!  Keep healthy fruit snacks nearby if you just can&#8217;t think of anything but food for now.  If you choose the right plan, even those cravings will disappear and you might amaze yourself when you one day &#8220;forgot to eat&#8221; because those sugar cravings are gone!  Don&#8217;t laugh!  It COULD happen. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">If you are a size 20 and you want to be a size 12, why the heck can&#8217;t you????</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The secret is&#8230;..you can.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">And okay, you are a fantastic super wife and super Mom or a single Mom like me.  At the end of the day, everyone feels loved and care for, maybe except you? This is your time to put your gym class or your walk time in the evening into the mix of the family schedule.  Your family loves you and you have to be firm especially if you never carved out a time for YOU.  This is the time to get healthy for you!  And they&#8217;ll be SO PROUD of you for doing it. You wait and see.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Now get that photo on 0: your desk, your car stereo, your purse, your briefcase inner lining.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Whatever it takes.  That&#8217;s what I&#8217;m talkin&#8217; about.</span></p>
